EUWIIN Director, Bola Olabisi is invited to join European Commission’s Network of Women on Decision making in Politics and the Economy

Bola Olabisi has been representing EUWIIN in Brussels over the past few months. She was invited to join female decision-makers from around Europe at this new EU-level network of women in power. The network serves as a voice of experience, complementing and enriching the work already being done by the EU on this topic. The inaugural meeting was opened by Equal Opportunities Commissioner Vladimír Špidla and by Zita Gurmai, Vice-Chairwoman of the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality. Commission Vice-President Margot Wallström and Budget Commissioner Dalia Grybauskaité also joined the network. It is encouraging to learn that the EU values the experience and the aims of EUWIIN as an important initiative to assist in supporting the EU’s efforts to improve the position of women and in all spheres of life. For the first time in history, various networks from across Europe gather and combine the wealth of knowledge and experience within their organisations.
